The Manipulators of Reality

This is a slight reprise of a blog I posted in September last year The Absence of Word. It is more true now and therefore is worthy of repeating. I have increased the tone considerably to reflect the countries increased tone.

Every human is a magician, and we can either put a spell on someone with our word or we can release someone from a spell.

These are the words of Miguel Ruiz from his guide to personal freedom, The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom, A Toltec Wisdom Book.

Miguel describes in clear and concise terms how the most important step and yet the most difficult, on a path to personal freedom, is the ability to be impeccable with your Word. My subject today, however, is not to review his book, but to demonstrate how America today is woefully weak with impeccable word and how this is eroding the very foundations the country was built upon.

America’s problem, the real problem for our country and should not to be underestimated, is that our leaders lie to us continually. They don’t themselves the truth, they don’t tell each other the truth, and they don’t tell us the truth. They project to us an alternate reality that is not true, they project an alternate reality that is meant to make you see the world their way. The media machine takes this twisted information and further distorts, spins, re-creates and filters this misinformation before they present it to you. This is done with intent!

This is done purposefully to erode your freedom and take away your free thinking. It is very easy to get caught up in this alternate reality because it not only seems real, it feels real. This is because they are very good at spell casting, they are very good with their magic. The media and our politicians manipulate facts and information knowingly both through commission and omission. They feed us information that is quite often useless, unnecessary and often harmful.

Harmful information? Yes, because if you are not given the truth, if you are not given all the facts, it becomes impossible for you to make a good decisions. You will begin to make bad decisions that are harmful to your well being.

Good decisions cannot be made under such duress and therein lies the problem: all of us, from the top down to the bottom, are just simply unable to make correct decisions. The word we receive is broken, splintered, twisted and mangled beyond belief. Our bad decisions then become the seeds of chaos.

Your only protection under these circumstances is to realize and accept that you are being manipulated in grand fashion. Drop your focus on their message and begin to use your peripheral vision. You must step back, way back, and put all of this misinformation into a metaphorical box. Elevate your vantage point, looking down at the box from above. What is left around you, what your peripheral vision sees is meant to separate you from this magical alternate reality and provide clearer vision.

Please be mindful that our country will be unable to repair itself and fulfill its Graceful Destiny without honest leaders and honest reporting. No good decisions can possibly be made until then. Somehow SPIN has become commonplace and acceptable. Spin is nothing but lies only you don’t see it that way because of the spell the media has cast around that word.

I give Ruiz ‘the last word’:

Be impeccable with your word. You manifest, create and destroy with your word. Words help or hurt, make love or make hate. Words are a force, a power, a white or black magic. Hitler cast a spell with his words and his black magic became very powerful.

Yesterday I watched President Obama give a speech to Mayors of our country. I thought to myself, “Wow, had I not been listening to talk radio and receiving explanations of what the President was REALLY saying, I’d probably think the concepts he was presenting sounded like wonderful ideas.” Listening to him speak, and comparing what he was saying with what my more complete understanding was, I couldn’t believe the depth of his deception. I’m not completely sure what President Obama is up to, but he is definitely attempting to mislead the people of the United States.

From the very beginning, President Obama has lied whenever it was convenient for him to do so. He just out and out LIES to us. From lying about his understanding of Reverend White’s racist beliefs, right on through to the latest lies about what the ‘Stimulus Plan’ does and doesn’t contain, he seems to totally get away with it. He knows that everyone who stays away from Fox News and the conservative radio talk shows (and a huge chunk of the country hates these outlets) will hear no other viewpoint except his. Pretty convenient for someone who seems to be just a mouthpiece for a hidden group of radical USA haters.
