35 Undeniable Truths of Life - Truth 5

Continuing my analysis of Rush Limbaugh’s 35 Undeniable Truths, we move onto Truth 5:  War is not obsolete.

Pope John Paul II, in an address to the United Nations said:

The continual preparation for war, demonstrated by the production of ever more numerous, powerful and sophisticated weapons in various countries, shows that there is a desire to be ready for war, and being ready means being able to start one; it also means taking the risk that sometime, somewhere, somehow, someone can set into motion terrible mechanisms of general destruction.

Simply put, war can never be obsolete as long as we feel it is necessary to be prepared for war.
