WOW. Megadittos...Glenn Beck... I am a programmer, and would be willing to offer some assistance should you want to follow magnus205’s suggestion.
Mr. O. has been pretty good at publishing information, and then pulling it down as soon as it gets too much attention (he might be held accountable for it)...All of these speeches need to be converted to PDF with proper citing of source and time it was “archived.”
Please do us a favor, though...Even though there is no function, Excel sees that there’s some macro code (as author you may/may not get the warning we get)...Delete the VB code attached to Sheet1 (CONTENTS) so no one freaks out that this is gonna blow up their system.

Very Nice!

I compiled a list in text format, and it was several hundred pages. This works much better! Very nice!
For someone that ran on a mantra of “change”, a large portion of his promises were to simply not change a thing. I haven’t run the numbers, but I am guessing he started off at 25-30% promise keeping, but I doubt it will last.
I do not remember any politician, in my lifetime, making so many promises. Ideas or thoughts are one thing, a promise should be as solid as a an old fashion handshake. We’ll see.

I love your spreadsheet and the 37 categories they fit in. When did you start compiling your information? Are you on Facebook? I’m putting together a book about Obama and the End Times and I’d like to be able to include your Thesis of Campaign Promises in my Book as an Appendix or Chapter? Would that be okay with you? Todd,
You have done a great job of collecting and referencing Obama’s promises, and I will be glad to help you in tracking these promises through this term. Many of these promises are addressed in the current ‘Stimulus’ (Special Interest, Pork, Campaign Pay-Back) Bill. I would prefer that he does break the majority of these promises.
I have one word of caution. Over the last year the Obama campaign ‘adjusted’ the information on their Official Campaign Website many times as the situation changed. I hope you have copied and saved the pages in your reference links, to guard against these promises suddenly disappearing.

I love the idea, but with my older version of Excel (97) I can’t open it. I know I need to upgrade, but can’t afford that right now. Do you suppose you could resave a 2nd version of this spreadsheet in “2003-97” format for folks like me?

Lets keep our govt accountable for all this garbage they are trying to pass. I love this! I agree with a previous post. Please remove the macros from the file so people don’t freak out when they try to open it. I realize there are no fuctioning macros on the file, but some people may be scared off. First Days catagory

What do we count as First Days? I would suggest 100. He made soooooo many references to ‘one of the first things I’ll do is“ fill in the blank (ie: insert your change here)
Where do we draw the line to say that he has failed to keep a promise when he put a vague timeline on it? I think 100 is more than generous.... Of course, BHO is being more than generous, but that’s with our money, not his own....

Blocking the Message

Heard Todd on GB a few days ago. Finally got time to check out his blog today. Lo and Behold, when I click on the PLAN FOR AMERICA link, I get connected to ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA- A website sponsored by the DNC. Clicking the PROMISE TRACKER link brings up a blank excel spreadsheet and eventually freezes my screen. KEEP PLUGGING, we can’t let the bad guys win.

I’m going to update this monthly at the beginning of each month. The Stimulus Plan may delay my next update a bit. Or I could just mark KEPT under 95% of his campaign promises since unfortunately for America’s budget he kept them.

Update....

I update the document monthly. The last update was March 1, the next update will be over the first weekend in April, etc.
