Is my idea safe?

The moment you use your ingenuity to create an original work such as a story, song, poem, article, painting, drawing, software or other art form, and then publish this on ideapalooza, you automatically have copyright protection for your creation.

Simple ideas are not commonly protected by law. Ideas have no legal protection. Most people are full of great ideas, but do not have the will or means to bring those ideas to fruition. So, why not share them with the intellectual community instead of keeping them trapped in your head? The opportunity for monetary reward is never lost! At the very least, you will be settling for spiritual gratification or personal recognition as being the first one with the idea!

As an example, the idea of writing about love is not protected by law. However, actually writing the music or lyrics, and then publishing this original creative work on ideapalooza does provide you with copyright protection by law.

It is necessary for you to familiarize yourself with the common definitions of intellectual property, trademark, copyright and patents in order to understand how your idea may be an original creative work and therefore protected by law.
